Wild swimming guides at Immerse Hebrides have revealed that one of many “lethal” creatures was discovered at Nisabost Seashore on the Isle of Harris yesterday.
Portuguese Man O’ Warfare, also referred to as the Man of Warfare, seems much like a jellyfish with lengthy blue tentacles and a pink inflatable bladder which sits above the water.
The sting from them could be extreme and may typically paralyse or kill fish – and even be deadly to canines swimming round within the sea.
