International Minister Meets with the UN Resident Coordinator in Colombo

Minister of International Affairs, Prof. G.L. Peiris met with the United Nations Resident Coordinator Hanna Singer-Hamdy on the Ministry of International Affairs on 01 July, 2022.

Throughout the dialogue, Minister Peiris briefed the Resident Coordinator on the present scenario within the nation, notably with regard to gasoline, meals and pharmaceutical scarcity. He expressed deep appreciation for the humanitarian help being acquired from bilateral and multilateral donors.

The Resident Coordinator defined the present standing of the humanitarian help from the United Nations and its businesses.
