A heated scenario had arisen in the course of the media briefing held at the moment (22) in Colombo by the rice millers.
The media briefing was held to lift consciousness on rice costs.
The heated scenario arose after ‘Navratna’ Rice mills proprietor – Mithrapala Lankeshwara mentioned that there was a necessity to extend costs of ‘Nadu’ rice. ‘Araliya’ rice mills proprietor – Dudley Sirisena had angrily reacted to the assertion.
Nevertheless, it was later acknowledged that rice can be offered based on the management costs imposed by the federal government.
