SAN FRANCISCO — A farmworker charged with killing seven individuals at two Half Moon Bay mushroom farms reportedly informed investigators he was spurred to hold out the shootings after his supervisor demanded he pay $100 to restore a forklift broken at work.

San Mateo County District Lawyer Steve Wagstaffe confirmed to the Bay Space Information Group Friday that Chunli Zhao was enraged by the gear invoice, saying {that a} co-worker was in charge for the collision between his forklift and the co-worker’s bulldozer.

The charging paperwork recognized Jose Romero Perez as the opposite particular person killed and Pedro Romero Perez because the eighth sufferer, who survived.
