Congress chief Jagadish Shettar, who’s a candidate from Karnataka’s Hubli-Dharwad-Central constituency, defended LoP Siddaramaiah’s “Corrupt Lingayat Chief Minister” comment and stated that the remark was aimed toward Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai and never on all Lingayat CMs.

“His remark was solely on the current CM Bommai and never all Lingayat CMs. He didn’t touch upon different Lingayat CMs”, Mr Shettar advised ANI.

Union Minister Pralhad Joshi demanded an apology from former Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah over his comment the place he talked about that ‘Lingayat CM had executed corruption’ within the state including that it’s an insult to Karnataka.
