TIRUPATI: With the summer season nearly coming to an finish, the hill city of Tirumala has been witnessing a surge in devotee arrivals within the holy hills for the darshan of Lord Venkateswara.
On Sunday, all compartments within the Vaikuntam queue complexes have been full and devotees waited in a 4-km-long queue for darshan whereas the lodging counters in Tirumala too put up ‘no emptiness’ boards.
Because the summer season holidays for instructional establishments are coming to an finish, the frenzy of pilgrims elevated previously two days.
Some 88,026 devotees had a glimpse of the Lord on Saturday. On Sunday as much as 6pm, practically 65,000 pilgrims had darshan, whereas over 30,000 devotees had lined up within the queue strains.
For Sarva Darshan on Sunday, all of the compartments within the Vaikuntam queue advanced have been crammed and the queue line prolonged for nearly 4km from the compartments. It was taking practically 10-12 hours for the pilgrims to have darshan. The entry level to the queue line is ready on the outer ring highway and past, from the place the devotees take an extended stroll to achieve the Vaikuntam queue advanced.
With the rise in pilgrim circulation, the amenities when it comes to lodging and different facilities are stretched past their restrict. TTD officers have put up a ‘no emptiness’ board within the morning itself in any respect the lodging counters in Tirumala.
Owing to heavy rush, TTD has cancelled VIP break darshans and restricted these to protocol VIPs alone. The restrictions on VIP break darshans could be in place until July 15.
TTD government officer A.V. Dharma Reddy is monitoring the pilgrim situation at compartments, outdoors the strains at Narayanagiri gardens, the Lepakshi circle and past.
