BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 8. Deputies of
Parliamentary Meeting of Council of Europe (PACE) have condemned
the terrorist act dedicated towards the Embassy of Azerbaijan in
Iran, Development experiences.
“A terrorist act towards a diplomatic mission is a horrible
crime that’s towards the norms and ideas of worldwide legislation
and it’s unacceptable. We resolutely condemn this treacherous
terrorist act dedicated towards the Embassy of the Republic of
Azerbaijan in Tehran, and demand the instant investigation of the
terrorist act, the identification and persecution of the
perpetrators and those that ordered this bloody act,” the assertion
stated.
An armed assault befell on the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Iran
on January 27, 2023, at about 8:30 (GMT+4). The gunman turned out
to be a person in his 50’s, who drove as much as the executive
constructing, armed with a Kalashnikov automated rifle.
Earlier experiences from the Chief of Tehran police stated there have been
two kids within the automotive with the gunman, the safety digicam
footage launched later proved the person was alone. He entered the
constructing after briefly waving hand to the Iranian safety guard
outdoors. No makes an attempt had been made to detain the gunman, as he freely
entered the embassy. The person managed to kill head of the safety
service and wounding two embassy guards. The shooter was finally
detained. The incident is at the moment being investigated.
Following the lethal assault, Azerbaijan evacuated its officers
from the embassy, together with those that suffered on account of the
assault and fully suspended the work of the embassy in
Tehran.
