The Okanagan Solar are on their strategy to internet hosting the B.C. Soccer Convention championship.
After an ideal 10-0 season, the Solar beat their long-time rivals, the Langley Rams 44-20 on the Apple Bowl on Saturday evening.
“It feels good profitable any sport that can lead you into the playoffs,” stated Solar head coach Travis Miller. “And with the ability to host a championship sport right here in Kelowna is a superb factor.”
The Langley Rams have been the defending nationwide champions — and the group that ended the Solar’s season three of the final 4 years.
Miller admits that makes this win all of the sweeter.
“We battle with these guys, they’re the rationale we’re nearly as good as we’re, as a result of we evaluate ourselves towards the nationwide champions.”
The Solar will now host the winner of the opposite BCFC semifinal sport between the Chilliwack Huskers and the Westshore Rebels.
The winner of that contest, to be positioned on Sunday in Langford on Vancouver Island, will journey to the Apple Bowl to face the Solar.
The group that claims the BCFC championship will transfer on to Ontario to tackle the winner of the Ontario Convention.
The winner of that sport will then journey to the prairies for the nationwide championship on November 12, on the residence stadium of the Prairie Convention champion.
