Oil tank fire in Belfast sends plumes of smoke drifting across M2

The Northern Eire Hearth Service is on the scene of an oil tank on fireplace near Belfast metropolis centre.

IFRS mentioned the incident is going down within the York Park space in Fortwilliam.

They mentioned 4 home equipment are presently on the scene.

Customers on social media have reported seeing plumes of black smoke drifting throughout the close by M2 highway.

An NIFRS spokesperson mentioned: ”Firefighters are presently on the scene of an oil tank on fireplace. The incident is on-going.

“Two Hearth Home equipment from Whitla Hearth Station, one Hearth Equipment from Westland Hearth Station and one Hearth Equipment from Central Hearth Station are in attendance.”
