New BBC podcast to debate rise and fall of T within the Park


A NEW podcast will talk about the rise and fall of the long-lasting T within the Park.

Hosted by Radio 1 DJ Arielle Free, the Radio 1 podcast takes listeners by means of the highlights of the Scottish music competition, discussing reminiscences with well-known headliners, distributors and festival-goers reflecting on their experiences.

T within the Park ran from 1994 till 2016, and the podcast may also delve into why it declined and the way it all got here to an finish.

Arielle stated: “Like so many Scottish teenagers, I bear in mind experiencing T within the Park and having an unforgettable weekend.

“I can’t wait to take Radio 1 listeners again to the heyday of the competition and relieve its illustrious 22 years as I reveal behind-the-scenes secrets and techniques and uncover the actual purpose why T within the Park is now not round.”

Since its collapse, T within the Park has been changed by TRNSMT which takes over Glasgow Inexperienced each July. 

The Rise and Fall of T within the Park is accessible on BBC Sounds now with the subsequent 4 episodes out there on Monday, July 18.
