The Cupboard has accredited a proposal submitted by the Prime Minister in his capability because the Finance Minister, relating to the regularization of the on line casino business in Sri Lanka.
The On line casino Enterprise (Regulation) Act No. 17 of 2010 and the Betting and Gaming Tax Act No. 40 of 1988 present for the regulation of the on line casino business, and beneath Act No. 17 of 2010, licenses are required to function on line casino companies in Sri Lanka.
The proposal submitted by the Prime Minister to the Cupboard of Ministers on this regard factors out that as a result of needed orders to implement the provisions of the stated Act not been issued thus far, no license has been issued to any on line casino enterprise beneath the stated Act and it’s troublesome to formally accumulate taxes from the establishments at the moment engaged within the on line casino enterprise because of this.
