Matt Damon is the most recent celeb to be on the receiving finish of South Park’s acerbic sense of humour.
The grownup cartoon collection took a swipe on the Oscar profitable actor’s cringey cryptocurrency advert in its newest made-for-TV movie, South Park The Streaming Wars Half 2.
In Matt’s extensively mocked business, the 51-year-old is seen speaking to the digital camera evaluating shopping for crypto to humankind’s biggest achievements, like touchdown on the moon.
The Manchester By the Sea actor then trots out the now immortal line: ‘Fortune favours the courageous.’
Matt Stone and Trey Parker’s present takes purpose on the terrible but hilarious advert by having a toon of Matt entrance an equally ill-thought-out marketing campaign.
The plot of the South Park two-parter follows evil Pi P, who schemes to swap all of Denver’s water along with his personal provide – which is contaminated with urine.
Titled The Streaming Wars, South Park is clearly making a barbed touch upon the abundance of on demand platforms, like Netflix and Amazon Prime.
And Pi Pi’s dastardly plans look set to develop into realised when he enlists the assistance of Matt to flog the pee water in a mode very harking back to his crypto advert.
Sporting a black t-shirt emblazoned with ‘Fortune Favors Matt’, Matt extols the virtues of the pee water and is seen not solely watering his vegetation with it, but in addition having a shower within the urine. Yuck.
‘Fortune favours the courageous,’ Matt says. ‘And a courageous particular person is aware of pasta cooked in pee water tastes simply effective.’
‘Do you know frozen pee could make for a deliciously summer time deal with,’ he continues as he gags whereas attempting to take a chew of an ice cream.
Matt shouldn’t be the one well-known face who received a skewering within the Paramount Plus movie, with Gwyneth Paltrow ingesting a cup filled with pee and Reese Witherspoon bobbing for apples in a barrel of the stuff.
No thanks.
Elements one and two of South Park The Streaming Wars can be found to look at on Paramount Plus.
