The husband of the Chief Administrative Officer of the Lankapura Pradeshiya Sabha who was struck on the top and killed, has been arrested on suspicion over her homicide.
Police Media Spokesman SSP Nihal Thalduwa stated the husband had pleaded responsible to killing his spouse early final morning (04).
Police stated the officer’s head was struck with an axe whereas she was asleep.
The 42-year-old feminine, a mom of two, succumbed to accidents after being admitted to the Polonnaruwa Hospital.
Police stated the husband initially claimed that the home was damaged into and his spouse was murdered by thieves.
