Iranian Director Wins Top Prize At Karlovy Vary Film Festival


Iranian director Sadaf Foroughi’s movie Summer season With Hope (Tabestan Ba Omid), an Iranian-set social drama, captured the highest Crystal Globe award on the Karlovy Differ Worldwide Movie Pageant within the Czech Republic.

Taki Mumladze and Mariam Khundadze shared the award for greatest actress for his or her roles within the German-Georgian movie A Room Of My Personal (Chemi Otakhi) on the ceremony on July 9.

A Room of My Personal was directed by 35-year-old Georgian Ioseb Bliadze.

Summer season With Hope was the 45-year-old Canadian-based Foroughi’s second characteristic movie, following Ava in 2017.
