Henry Silva, best-known for starring in movies together with Ocean’s 11, The Manchurian Candidate and Johnny Cool, has died on the age of 95.
His dying was confirmed by his son Scott, who advised The Hollywood Reporter that his father died of pure causes on Wednesday September 14, a day shy of his 96th birthday.
The actor – who was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1926 – died on the Movement Image & Tv Nation Home and Hospital in Woodland Hills.
Deana Martin, the daughter of Hollywood legend Dean Martin, shared a heartfelt tribute to Silva on Twitter, saying he was ‘one of many nicest males’ she ever had the ‘pleasure’ of calling a buddy.
‘Our hearts are damaged on the lack of our expensive buddy Henry Silva, one of many nicest, kindest and most gifted males I’ve had the pleasure of calling my buddy,’ she wrote.
‘He was the final surviving star of the unique Oceans 11 Film. We love you Henry, you may be missed.’
