Facebook Glitch Hits Thousands, Users’ Feed Spammed With Celebrity Fan Posts

Bear in mind liking tons of of movie star pages if you created an account on Fb? An outage on the social media platform at the moment gave customers a harsh reminder.

A glitch in Fb’s algorithm resulted in feeds of 1000’s of customers throughout the US and UK being full of posts despatched to celebrities like Taylor Swift, Deepika Padukone, Eminem, and Shakira.

A number of customers took to Twitter to report the glitch and shared screenshots of their newsfeed. In keeping with outage-tracking web site Downdetector, the glitch was broadly reported between 12 pm and three pm. The web site stated that the outages have been reported on each the Fb cell app and web site.

Fb’s mother or father firm, Meta, stated that they’re conscious of the problem and are working to get issues again to regular.

“We’re conscious that some individuals are having bother with their Fb Feed. We’re working to get issues again to regular as rapidly as potential and we apologise for any inconvenience,” a Meta spokesperson was quoted as saying by Each day Mail.
