EASTENDERS’ Mark Fowler will tread the boards at a Glasgow theatre subsequent 12 months in a preferred thriller.
Actor Todd Carty, who’s greatest recognized for his position within the long-running cleaning soap, will star in Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap on the King’s Theatre in Could.
As a part of a UK tour to have fun the genre-defining play’s seventieth anniversary, Todd will star alongside Gwyneth Sturdy (Solely Fools and Horses, Eastenders) and John Altman (Eastenders) on the Tub Road venue.
Todd takes on the position of Main Metcalf, whereas Gwenyth and John will play Mrs Boyle and Mr Paravicini.
They’re joined by Joelle Dyson (Dreamgirls, Humorous Lady) as Mollie Ralston, Laurence Pears (Magic Goes Mistaken) as Giles Ralston, Elliot Clay (The Mousetrap in London) as Christopher Wren, Essie Barrow (The Mousetrap in London) as Miss Casewell, and Joseph Reed (The Nobodies) as Detective Sgt. Trotter.
The Mousetrap is the world’s longest-running play, having opened in London’s West Finish in 1952 on the St Martin’s Theatre the place it performed repeatedly till March 2020 when performances have been paused because of the pandemic.
Well-known for its secretive plot with twists and turns, the play centres round a gaggle of seven strangers who discover themselves snowed in at Monskwell Manor, a distant countryside guesthouse as information of a homicide in London spreads the realm.
When a police sergeant arrives, the friends uncover – to their horror – {that a} killer is of their midst.
