Calling on Greece to abide by worldwide regulation, Türkiye’s
International Minister Mevlut Cavushoglu on Tuesday warned that in any other case
Ankara “will do what is critical,” Development studies citing Every day Sabah.
Talking in a joint press convention along with his Romanian
counterpart Bogdan Aurescu within the capital Ankara, Cavushoglu mentioned:
“Both Greece takes a step again and abides by agreements, or we
will do what is critical” referring to Greece’s latest navy
drill on Aegean islands.
Additionally, criticizing Greece for militarizing Aegean islands shut
to the Turkish shoreline that was demilitarized below longstanding
treaties, the highest diplomat mentioned: “If Athens would not need peace,
Ankara will do no matter is critical.”
Urging Greece to cease the unlawful arming of Aegean islands with
non-military standing and to behave in keeping with worldwide
agreements, he mentioned: “Greece continues its provocations. We can’t
stay silent.”
Not too long ago, Greece carried out a navy drill on the Aegean
island of Rhodes, simply 84 kilometers (52 miles) from the Turkish
coastal city of Fethiye within the Mugla province. Turkish officers
insist the deployment of troopers or weapons on some islands shut
to its coast violates their nonmilitary standing in line with
worldwide regulation.
Cavushoglu mentioned continued violation of the treaties would open
their sovereignty as much as debate and drive Türkiye to defend its
rights.
“We’ll proceed to take the required steps each legally
inside a world group, particularly the United
Nations, and on the sector,” the minister mentioned.
Cavushoglu mentioned: “Greece mustn’t overlook this. Those that sow
the wind reap the storm. If you don’t want peace, we’ll do what
is critical.”
