WATCH: A Tesla get airborne after hitting a railway crossing at ludicrous speed

Not quite. Picture: SpaceX

Teslas weren’t built to fly – yet.

But this 46-year-old Canadian driver thought otherwise:

That’s crazy. Let’s look at it again in slo-mo:

The people are running because he crashed, , into a tree in a school parking lot.

Fortunately for the driver, he and his passenger escaped with minor injuries and a dangerous driving charge.

Online readers have pointed out that the driver hit railway tracks on Little Avenue in Barrie, Canada. One redditor claimed (48km/h).

The driver of the four-door Tesla was clearly doing way over 30mph.

That could have been a whole lot worse.
