Victoria floods, power outages in Gisborne, Echuca; SES warnings issued; Lorne landslide reported

VicEmergency is reporting 69 warnings and 604 incidents throughout Victoria as of 2pm.

Energy outages throughout the state have additionally jumped in current hours. PowerCor is reporting nearly 25,000 prospects are with out energy within the state’s west, whereas AusNet is reporting 549 prospects with unplanned outages within the state’s east. A big space between Bendigo and Melbourne is now impacted, with Woodend, Gisborne and Kyneton with out energy.

Flash flooding is predicted to hit Melbourne later this afternoon, whereas riverine flooding stays a priority within the state’s north.

The primary rivers authorities are involved about are the Campaspe (close to Echuca and Rochester), the Goulburn (between Seymour and Lake Eildon in central Victoria), the Maribyrnong (in Melbourne’s north-west), the Ovens and King (close to Wangaratta within the north-east), and Seven and Fortress creeks (close to Euroa in central-northern Victoria).

Different warnings are in place for the Avoca (close to Charlton within the north-west), the Kiewa (close to Wodonga within the north-east), the Loddon (west of Bendigo), the Snowy (far East Gippsland close to Orbost), the Damaged (close to Shepparton), the Werribee (Melbourne’s west) and Mt Emu Creek (close to Skipton within the west).
