Sri Lanka rupee greenback ‘steerage price’ edges up; bond yields up

ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka rupee closed regular at 367 towards US greenback on the shut of Friday buying and selling with no change from the day prior to this of buying and selling, Industrial financial institution’s knowledge confirmed.

The central financial institution’s interbank spot was at 359.75 on Friday, from Thursday’s 359.85.

Within the secondary market, just a few maturities have been energetic, sellers stated.

The bonds maturing on June 1, 2025 was closed at 20.40/75 %, whereas yield in three-month T-bill closed at 20.40/80 % on Friday up from 20.30/50 at Thursday shut.

The one-year T-bill yield closed at 21.85/22.15 %, up from 21.80/22.00 % on Thursday. (Colombo/June 17/2022)
