Speaker endorses the certificates on 3 Payments together with Industrial Disputes (Particular Provisions) Invoice


The Speaker Hon. Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena yesterday (23) endorsed the certificates on the Industrial Disputes (Particular Provisions), the Code of Legal Process (Modification), Civil Process Code (Modification) Payments which have been handed in Parliament lately.

The aim of the Industrial Disputes (Particular Provisions) Invoice is to cut back the congestion within the Magistrates, Courts in resolving labor disputes and to delegate the powers of prosecution to the
Chairmen of Labor Tribunals.
The Code of Legal Process (Modification) Invoice amends Part 442 of the Code of Legal Process Act No. 15 of 1979 and offers a free copy of the ultimate order of the judgment or case report to every occasion in a case freed from cost.

The Civil Process Code (Modification) Invoice provides a brand new part 154 (a) to the Civil Process Code and exempts sure paperwork from formal proof in sure authorized proceedings.

Accordingly, the stated Payments will thus be in impact because the Civil Process Code (Modification) Act No. 17 of 2022, Code of Legal Process (Modification) Act No. 18 of 2022 and the Industrial Disputes (Particular Provisions) Act No. 19 of 2022.
