Sexual assault survivors condemn ‘revolting’ Brittany Higgins media


One advocate mentioned Bruce Lehrmann’s TV interview may have deterred ‘numerous victims’ from reporting crimes dedicated towards them.

Sexual assault survivor advocates have known as for reflection in newsrooms as they observe more and more hostile reporting on Brittany Higgins’ sexual assault allegations towards former Liberal Celebration staffer Bruce Lehrmann.

Final Friday at a Younger Achiever Awards evening sponsored by the Seven Community, youngster sexual assault survivor and advocate Harrison James criticised a call made by executives on the community to broadcast a controversial interview with Lehrmann.

In an acceptance speech for an award for his advocacy work, James mentioned it was “ironic” the interview would air simply days later.
