Report: Syrian weapons facilities list prepared prior to U.S. attack

US intelligence officials prepared a preliminary list of chemical weapons facilities in Syria that the US may attack if President Donald Trump fires another shot, CNN reported Friday night.

The report quotes a source who emphasizes that an additional attack on Syria has not been accepted but the army "can react quickly" if Assad uses chemical weapons again.

The data on this preliminary list will be transferred to the Pentagon so that they may prepare for an attack, which the president may decide to carry out.

Additionally, the report stated that US officials feared that would include chemical weapons, if they slow down the advancement of Assad‘s forces.

The US military brought several armed helicopters closer to the area, according to senior intelligence sources. The US is concerned that Assad could carry out a chemical attack by bombing chlorine barrels and that the attack of the city in conventional ways may leave thousands dead and worsen the humanitarian crisis in the area.
