A decades-long partnership! Gary LeVox and Tara LeVox (née Vernon) have been married for greater than 20 years and stay as in love as ever.
“[Our secret is] simply retaining God within the heart of our marriage,” the Rascal Flatts crooner, 52, completely instructed Us Weekly on Wednesday, October 5, whereas selling his music “Get Down Like That,” his first solo single. “Really that’s the primary factor [because] we are able to screw it up lots when it’s simply us attempting to deal with all the pieces. So simply retaining God on the heart of our marriage has been the anchor level for us.”
Gary and Tara met backstage at a gospel music competition earlier than they began courting. The twosome tied the knot in 1999 — and the “Life Is a Freeway” singer is “completely” nonetheless as romantic because the day they exchanged vows.

“Little Olive Backyard on a Wednesday? Come on,” Gary quipped to Us. “Oh, yeah. Little Baskin Robbins? You prepared? You ain’t prepared.”
The married couple balances their romantic date nights with elevating their two daughters: Brittany, 22, and Brooklyn, 18.
“Simply due to [my] work and stuff, Tara was all the time like, ‘You already know, you can not come residence [from touring] and simply be the great cop,’” the Ohio native recalled of their parenting dynamic on Wednesday. “However, you understand, dads are totally different as a result of, like, it doesn’t take a lot vitality for us to appropriate our youngsters than it does for mothers. I can take a look at them or one thing and go, ‘Are you critical?’ And [they say], ‘I’m so sorry,’ whereas Tara must sit there and speak for half-hour on why it was mistaken and so they’ll go, ‘OK, I do know. Gosh, I get it.’”
As Brittany and Brooklyn have grown up, they’ve proven curiosity in following in Gary’s musical footsteps.
“It blows my thoughts how gifted and proficient that they’re, you understand?” the “My Want” performer gushed to Us about their singing expertise. “And they only have simple expertise. So it’s awfully enjoyable to take a seat there and watch them do their factor. … I simply need them to be joyful and do what they like to do and they are often something that they wanna be.”
Whereas Gary doesn’t wish to push his ladies to enter the music enterprise, he’s keen to assist them “throughout” if that’s what they need.
After performing with Rascal Flatts — alongside Jay DeMarcus and Joe Don Rooney — for 20 years, Gary is branching out as a solo artist. His debut nation single, “Get Down Like That,” dropped final month.
“Issues have been off and rolling, so I’m excited. Nicely, I’ve already received 5 – 6 different issues already within the can and so we’ll wait to see after we launch them and the way we drop them,” Gary hinted to Us. “However, you understand, we’re off to a terrific begin and I’m simply, I’m having a lot enjoyable. I can’t even start to inform you.”
