Girl, 19, killed and two men seriously injured in multi-vehicle horror crash with lorry on M4 motorway


A WOMAN has been killed and two males significantly injured in a four-vehicle smash on the M6.

Emergency providers raced to the scene between junction 16 and 17 northbound at Sandbach, Cheshire, at round 5.15pm yesterday.

An HGV, Volkswagen Polo, Peugeot 107 and a BMW are understood to have collided.

A passenger within the Polo, a 19-year-old girl from Dudley, West Midlands, was taken to hospital with critical and life-changing accidents.

Regardless of the perfect efforts of all concerned, she has sadly since handed away.

The motive force of the HGV, a 27-year-old man from Rossendale, Lancashire, was arrested on suspicion of inflicting loss of life by harmful driving.

He stays in custody aiding police with their enquiries.

Officers are actually interesting for anybody with info or dashcam footage to come back ahead quoting IML 1426483.

The M6 stays closed northbound between junction 16 and 17.
