B.C. Liberal leader boots John Rustad over climate change denial

B.C. Liberal chief Kevin Falcon has kicked MLA John Rustad out of caucus over controversial tweets suggesting local weather change shouldn’t be attributable to CO2 emissions.

“Following a sample of behaviour that was not supportive of our caucus group and the rules of mutual respect and belief, I’ve eliminated MLA John Rustad from the B.C. Liberal Caucus efficient instantly,” Falcon stated in a press release Thursday afternoon. Rustad, MLA for Nechako Lakes, will now sit as an unbiased.

Rustad posted a remark from Patrick Moore, director of the CO2 Coalition and outspoken local weather change denier, on each Fb and Twitter.

The remark says “No web warming in Australia for the previous 10 years. And the Nice Barrier Reef has extra coral cowl this 12 months than ever recorded. The case for CO2 being the management knob of worldwide temperature will get weaker daily.”

Falcon stated “politics is a group sport” and Rustad was not being a group participant by refusing to debate his tweets.

“Whereas a range of views are inspired and a supply of power, they can not exist with out that necessary basis in place,” Falcon stated. 
Falcon on Wednesday took to social media to distance himself from Rustad.
